About the department
The Department of Sound for Electronic and Digital Media(EDM) conducts a little more than 3 Semester specialization classes that include theoretical and practical inputs. Students are given practical inputs both on Location based and Studio based with state of the art equipment Apart from experienced internal faculty inputs, workshops are conducted with external experts from industry.Course objective
The course in Sound for Electronic and Digital Media is designed to produce professionals who can excel in the new and challenging medía environment, where both technology and workflow change with time. Students work on a variety of productions, shot on both multi camera and single camera setups, outdoor and studio based situations, to expose them the entire gamut of present day productions. Giving preference on equipment handling and skills suited for the shooting of fiction and non-fiction of challenging environments. - Sound Studio having facility of dubbing, music recording and 5.1 Surround mixing with state of the art equipment.
- DAW sets having track laying and mixing facility with the latest equipment.
- State of the art location recording equipment: multitrack digital recorders, portable audio mixers, gun microphones and lavalier microphones etc.
